Carbon Assists Chadwell Heath Residential Project Securing £15m Development to Investment Loan in a Boost to UK Housebuilding

A refinancing project has been carried out for a residential property development in East London, facilitated by a customised £15 million development-to-investment loan from Secure Trust Bank (STB) Real Estate Finance (REF).

Located in Chadwell Heath, an increasingly popular area for new property development projects, the eight-story building is set to feature 55 high-quality residential units ranging from one to three bedrooms. This residential complex is expected to be especially attractive to small and growing families, offering proximity to a landscaped park and nature area.

In addition to the residential units, the apartment block includes a commercial unit and is slated for practical completion in January 2025. This ground-up initiative comes as positive news for the housing sector, addressing the ongoing demand for more housing in the UK, particularly in London where a shortage of affordable homes persists.

Stuart Bradney, Head of Investment Finance at Carbon Funding Consultants helped facilitate the five-year loan working alongside Matthew-Blaine Young, Head of Organisation at STB, Lawyers Dan Keys, of Clyde & Co, and Liz Roberts, of gunnercooke.
